I build Laravel and WordPress systems and the glue between them: ERP syncs, payment rails and deploys that never take the site down.

Every system I ship sits on the same stack. I design it, build it and keep it running, so nothing falls between two contractors.

About

Hi, I'm Kristen. Veltix is the name I ship under.

I'm a full-stack developer and DevOps engineer. I live in Laravel and WordPress, and I specialise in the unglamorous glue: ERP syncs, payment rails and the integrations nobody else wants to own.

Most of my work is invisible when it goes right. Stock that matches across three systems. Invoices that post exactly once. A Friday afternoon deploy nobody notices.

  1. Sep 28, 2026Autovõti: the jump from WooCommerce to LaravelA tour of the Laravel 13 and React storefront replacing my WooCommerce shop for car key covers: a finder for brand and key shape, search by photo, a checkout that locks and reserves, webhooks that aren't trusted, refunds that can say "I don't know", and conventions enforced by tests.
  2. Sep 6, 2026Serving a portfolio over SSHGiving this portfolio a second front end over SSH — Go, Wish and Bubble Tea in front of the same Laravel app — turned out to hinge on three unglamorous decisions: never rotate the host key, treat the visitor's key fingerprint as their identity, and be willing to give up port 22.
  3. Sep 6, 2026The Eloquent scope that never ranA local scope named latest() is silently shadowed by Eloquent's own builder method, so it never runs — and the unit test covering it passed, because it called the scope by the one route that bypasses the collision.
